Palestinian prisoners continue to gather support from other nations.
Groups of Chileans gathered to support the Palestine prisoners’ hunger strike, which has been ongoing for almost a month, across the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem. Students, representatives of social organizations and lawmakers participated in a large march in Santiago, the South American nation’s capital. Last month, more than a thousand Palestinian prisoners started a historic mass hunger strike to protest the brutal conditions in Israeli jails. The prisoners’ hunger strike, organized as the “Strike for Dignity and Freedom,” was launched on April 17, and unites Palestinian resistance factions from across the national liberation movement.
