Resistance through tourism

Palestine is home to some of the most important heritage sites in the world, from Jericho to the Dead Sea, to the Al Aqsa Mosque in East Jerusalem – the third holiest site in Islam. Despite the gruelling conflict of the past decade, the number of tourists to Jerusalem, from where many visitors to Palestine start their journeys, is up by a third since 2001, to 3.5 million.
